SAN & THE KRITIK presents CLASSIC DIRT(2011)

 FINALLY!!

The long awaited, most anticipated album finally drops. This is a CLASSIC DIRT dropped right at ya door step. This feature host the best and the dopest emcees, vocalists and poets alike.

A word from the producers self SAN & THE KRITIK: "The project in simple terms can be explained as the

end product of like minds, the consequence of understanding the musical
and artistic benefits borne from international relations. Classic Dirt brings
together on one record, some the world's finest emcees, producers,
vocalists and poets to wax lyrical with prowess over production by the
Kritik and the San."

Here are few joints to lookout for, the whole production is on point, but as u know each man has they favorite cuisine. The songs that stood out for me and gets 5deathstars (a blog's highest rating).

in no particular order: -Next of kin pairs seasoned South African emcees Lyrical TIP (Thought In

Parenthesis) and Nawty P over a Kritik beat. In a similar fashion to how
most if not all the tracks on the album were created by the respective
artists, next of kin was never a pre-conceived concept. In fact, much like "full
throttle" (which we break down below) and a couple others, the name "next
of kin" was only selected after we got and heard the track back from TIP
and Nawty P. Needless to say, TIP and P, like all the artists on the album,
were sent the beat with carte blanch and what we got back was something we
couldn’t have drawn up. The chosen concept alone didn’t just grab our
attention, but rather that, the execution as well as the articulate narration of
the tale.

-Oh well is produced by San and features Sage, a poet/emcee from

Lesotho. The song marks a slight yet complimentary shift of flavour since
the intro, as the role of production credit is handed over from the Kritik to
the San once again. The transition is one that should almost suggest to the
listener, "take a deeper look", as the musicality from the two producers and
artists on the album promises to offer more surprises.

-Full throttle features super emcees Little Vic and CP straight out of Long

Island, New York City over a Kritik beat. Hands down, Little Vic is perhaps
one the best straight spitters in the game today. Ask any true school head
he’s worked with, be it BuckWild, DJ Premier, KV Beats or DJ John John, not
many can touch him on flow let alone rhyme scheme. To have not only an
emcee of his caliber but also a label mate of his in CP on our tape, is an
incredible blessing. Make sure you check for Apocalypto and The Ugly Truth,
the latest mixtape offerings from Little Vic and CP, respectively.

LASTLY I FOUND MYSELF LOST IN THIS .....
-Mpalamise is a song by poet/emcee Pitso Ramakhula accompanied by

Sledge, over San production. Pitso Ramakhula is one half of Other Intelligences
(O.I.N.T.S), a group that although does not mark the start of their
relationship, was formed by Pitso and San around the early 2000s. In the
song, Pitso speaks (in his native language, Sesotho) on the history of “man”,
the need to reclaim pride in one’s identity and the fruits of oneness in
humanity. Make sure you also get your hands on “Ntsoana Tsatsi” the latest
offering from Pitso Ramakhula dropped under Audible Braile Entertainment.

Fellas, ladies all ya'll who digs the real raps, this is sure fire to set your 2011 alight, this album comes at a right time of the year just when'ts still fresh. Any other awards shows on the hip hop community shud give these two legends heads up!!
